What is Narcan
Naloxone, known commonly by the brand name NARCAN®, can be administered via nasal spray, intramuscular injection, and intravenous injection.
Naloxone blocks the effects of opioids like heroin and fentanyl. Fentanyl is deadly and has been found in heroin, cocaine, counterfeit pills, and other street drugs. Call 911 for help with an overdose.
In 2011, Learn to Cope became a pilot site for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Overdose education and Narcan training is available at every meeting. Narcan is available free of charge to Massachusetts residents. Learn to Cope is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit.
